10 Instructions for Life

A few days ago, I found a rather interesting article on 50 instructions for life, so I thought it would be a good idea to break it down into smaller blocks and write about each of those instructions – how I respect them or not when it comes to my own life. That article I just mentioned can be found right here – it’s rather old, but that doesn’t mean it’s outdated. OK, here we go…

Have a firm handshake.
Better wait and see who’s hand are you shaking. When at a business meeting, a first touch that’s soft can help a lot… My take? When you don’t need to be anyone but yourself, have a honest handshake.

Look people in the eye.
… and tell them how stupid they are. I usually avoid looking people in the eye, mostly because I am surrounded by a lot of people that I’d like to see dead and I am not always concealing this perfectly.

Sing in the shower.
Better not. Oh, yeah, I don’t shower – I always take long baths. Even then, I’m not singing. Feels more than awkward…

Own a great stereo system.
… still saving for that. In the meantime, enjoying my Logitech X-230 2.1 PC speakers and my awesome Sandisk Sansa e250 + Koss Porta Pro duet. I hate singing myself, but I hate a life without music even more!

If in a fight, hit first and hit hard.
… dodge and run. If you get in a fight and you don’t kill the bastards, you may end up in a trial for assault or something similar, you being the one charged. If it sounds out of this world, come visit Romania.

Keep secrets.
What secrets? Ssssssshhh…

Never give up on anybody. Miracles happen everyday.
WE, the people on this damn planet, WE MAKE MIRACLES HAPPEN!

Always accept an outstretched hand.
We should also watch the other hand. ALWAYS.

Be brave. Even if you’re not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.
Be brave, but never be crazy to fight sleep. Trust me, my sleepy demon is all over me…

Whistle.
…in a church. Otherwise, it’s pointless.

Great, we have 10! No images today, but your comments would surely bring some light to this article. Bye – byeeee! 😉
